ZapSites Website Design Giveaway: Terms and Conditions
Promoter. This competition is run by ZAP 1 (Pty) Ltd, trading as ZapSites ("we", "us"). Contact: build@zap1.co.za.
Free entry. Entry is free. You don't need to buy anything to enter or to win.
Who can enter. Open only to businesses registered in South Africa. The person entering for the business must be 18 or older and authorised to act for it. Employees of ZAP 1 (Pty) Ltd, and their immediate families, may not enter.
Dates. The competition opens on Tuesday 27 October 2026 at 12:00 (SAST) and closes on Tuesday 10 November 2026 at 23:59 (SAST). Entries received after that time won't count.
How To Enter
- Instagram: follow @zap.sites, like the competition post, and comment with your business name, or tag your business's Instagram account (e.g. @yourbusiness) if it has one. Optional bonus: share the post to your Instagram story and tag @zap.sites for one extra entry.
- Facebook: follow the ZapSites page, like the competition post, and comment with your business name, or tag your business's Facebook page if it has one. Facebook bonus: a valid Facebook entry earns 2 extra entries, so 3 entries in total on Facebook.
- Sharing on Facebook and tagging friends are not required. Each business can enter once per platform (plus the optional Instagram story bonus and the Facebook bonus above). Entries that are fake, automated, or don't follow these steps are invalid.
Winner selection. One winner will be picked by random draw from all valid entries on Wednesday 11 November 2026. The winner will be announced on our Instagram and Facebook pages on Wednesday 11 November 2026.
Contacting the winner. We'll contact the winner by direct message and/or a reply to their comment. The winner must respond within 7 days. If they don't, or if they don't meet these terms, we'll make a new random draw.
The prize. The prize is the design of one website for the winning business, worth R2 000 (our once-off design fee). The prize:
- is not exchangeable for cash and can't be transferred;
- does not include hosting, a domain name, or email. These are optional and available at extra cost if the winner wants them;
- must be claimed by 30 November 2026. The winner must provide the content needed (such as business details, text, and images) for us to complete the design.
We may replace the prize with one of similar value if needed, as allowed by the Consumer Protection Act.
Publicity. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees that we may share their business name and the finished website on our social media and website. The winner can tell us in writing if they don't want this.
Free mock-up for non-winners. Entrants who don't win may ask us for a free mock-up concept of their website. There is no obligation to buy anything. If they want us to build the actual website, it is charged at our normal once-off design fee.
Your privacy (POPIA). We only use the information you give us (such as your social media name and business name) to run this competition, contact the winner, and, if you agree, let you know about our services. We handle it in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act. You can ask us to see, correct, or delete your information at any time by emailing build@zap1.co.za.
Meta disclaimer. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Meta, Instagram or Facebook. By entering, you release Meta, Instagram and Facebook from any liability connected to this competition.
General. This competition runs in line with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Our decision on the draw is final. We may change or end the competition if something outside our control makes that necessary, and we'll post any change on our pages. These terms are governed by South African law.
